What it costs to get mice out — and keep them out.
Updated October 12, 2026
Published figures put most mouse jobs between $150 and $550, averaging around $350. The number that actually decides your bill is how much sealing the house needs.
Typical costs
National published ranges for residential work.
| Service | Cost |
|---|---|
| Inspection | $75 – $125 (sometimes free locally) |
| Typical job, overall range | $150 – $550 |
| Lethal trap service | $150 – $475 |
| Bait stations with monitoring | $300 – $550 |
| Emergency or after-hours visit | Add $100 – $200 |
Sealing is what the price really tracks
Trapping removes the mice already inside. Exclusion — sealing how they get in — is what stops the next ones, and it is the line item that varies most.
| Scope | Cost |
|---|---|
| Small — one entry point sealed | $100 – $500 |
| Medium — minor sealing work | $500 – $1,000 |
| Large — sealing plus repairs | $1,000 – $7,000+ |
Treat a cheap quote with no exclusion as a subscription
A low price to set traps and come back is not the same service as finding and closing the entry points. The first one ends when you stop paying. The second one ends.
When you compare quotes, compare what each says about exclusion. If one does not mention it at all, that is the difference, not the price.
An honest note on these numbers
These are national published figures, not New Jersey-specific, and not a quote. Real pricing depends on the size of the house, how long it has been going on, and how accessible the entry points are.
We will replace these with South Jersey figures once contractors in our network supply them.
Where these figures come from
Every number on this page comes from a published cost guide, listed below with its scope and date. None of it is a quote, and none of it is our own data — when it is, we will say so.
